What is a LLC?

A limited liability company (LLC) is the United States-specific form of a private limited company. It is a business structure that combines the pass-through taxation of a partnership or sole proprietorship with the limited liability of a corporation. An LLC is not a corporation; it is a legal form of a company that provides limited liability to its owners in many jurisdictions.- source Wikipedia

What is the first step?

File your “Articles of Incorporation” with the Secretary of State. Click Here to submit an electronic form. You will also have to pay a filing fee. As soon as your form has been received you will get an email confirmation showing that you are properly registered.

What do I do next?

Register with the Federal Government to get your EIN (Electronic Identification Number). Click Here to submit the electronic form. Once this is done you will be issued a EIN.

How do I setup a Bank Account?

You will need to bring you EIN as well as other documentation from the above two steps. It’s also good to establish check signers and assign ones to different responsibilities.
